She graduated from the University of South Florida and obtained her doctorate of podiatric medical science at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Miami Shores in Florida. She completed a two year primary podiatric medicine and surgical residency at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
