U.S. News & World Report recently published its annual list of best hospitals in Delaware. This year, there are four hospitals in the state that meet the magazine’s criteria for being among the nation’s best. They include Christiana Care Hospital, located in Newark; Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, located in Wilmington; Riddle Hospital, located in Dagsboro; and University of Pennsylvania Health System, located in Philadelphia.

The rankings are based on data collected from patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and administrators. These organizations provide information about patient safety, clinical effectiveness, efficiency, and overall quality of care. In addition, U.S. News evaluates each facility’s performance across 18 specialties and subspecialties.
